Combined with the regular data, it says I've used up 3.98 TB of my 4 TB hard drive. Why does my Mac HD have over 2 TB of purgeable data when I've only used 1.7 TB of regular data? I'm trying to understand why my Mac HD is showing 2.04 TB of purgeable data. Have you rebooted more than once, have you run Time Machine backup to clear local snapshots. The difference between 461.02 GB - 445.75 GB is 15.27 this seems to be the issue. The funny thing is that even the data for the HD-Data says " Available: 461.02 GB (445.75 GB purgeable)." Since I wanted to move a project off my iMac anyways I went ahead and did that and restarted. I looked at my system information and it said I had over 250GB.
